Your Story
From award-winning documentaries and short films to community stories and commissioned films, we
create films about real people, real experiences and stories worth sharing.
Whether you already know the story you want to tell or simply know there is a story
there, we can help you find it and bring it to life.

Storytelling is at the heart of everything we do.
Our filmmakers have worked across documentaries, short films, feature film productions,
community storytelling and commissioned films for organisations across Australia.
For us, though, filmmaking has never just been about creating something that looks beautiful.
It is about finding the story, the moments that make people stop, the words that stay with them. The people and experiences that might otherwise never be seen or heard.
Sometimes a film needs to inform. Sometimes it needs to inspire. Sometimes it needs to challenge the way people think.
And sometimes it can genuinely help create change.
That is the kind of filmmaking we love.
Homeless Australia gave people experiencing homelessness the opportunity to share their stories in their own words. It explored the people behind the statistics and the circumstances that can leave someone without a home.
The documentary showed the real impact storytelling can have. As a direct result of the film, a young man living on the streets was provided with government housing.
Safe Place Better Futures shares honest stories of the difference that safety, support and genuine care can make in a young person’s life. It introduces the people behind Southern Youth and Family Services and the young people they support.
At its heart, the film is about hope, resilience and the better futures that become possible when young people are heard, supported and believed in.
Created to challenge assumptions, A Mile in Their Shoes shares firsthand experiences of homelessness and looks beyond the stereotypes to reveal the people and circumstances behind them.
The documentary encourages empathy and understanding, asking audiences to look beyond someone’s situation and see the person standing in front of them.
Every film starts with a conversation.
What is the story? Why does it matter? Who needs to hear it? And what do you want them to think, feel or do after watching it?
You don’t need to arrive with everything figured out. Helping you find and shape the story is part of what we do.
Once we understand the story, we develop the creative approach.
This can include contributors, interviews, locations, narrative structure, visual style, scripting, production planning and everything required to bring the project together.
Then we film. Depending on the project, this can include documentary interviews, observational footage, cinematic visuals, drone filming, multiple cameras, location sound and larger production crews.
We scale the production around the story rather than forcing every project into the same formula.
This is where we find the film within everything we have captured.
We bring the story together through editing, music, sound design, colour grading, motion graphics and carefully selected visuals.
You are involved throughout the review process so we can shape the film together.
The result is a finished film created for the audience it needs to reach.
That might be online, at an event, in a cinema, within an organisation, as part of a campaign or anywhere else your story needs to be seen.
Beautiful cinematography matters.
Great sound matters.
Lighting matters.
Editing matters.
But none of it matters if there isn’t a story underneath it.
That is where we start.
Our background in documentary filmmaking means we are particularly experienced at working with real people rather than actors.
Many of the people we film have never been interviewed before.
Our job is to help them forget about the cameras, relax and simply talk.
That ability to connect with people allows us to uncover moments and stories that can easily be missed when an interview feels scripted or overly produced.
We have filmed stories across Australia and worked with individuals, communities, charities, businesses and organisations covering everything from personal experiences to complex and sensitive subjects.
Whatever the size of the production, we never forget the reason we are there:
To tell the story.
Every documentary is different.
The cost depends on the length and complexity of the film, the number of filming days and locations, the size of the crew, travel requirements and the amount of post production involved.
Once we understand what you are trying to create, we can recommend an approach and budget that makes sense for the project.
Absolutely.
You do not need to come to us with a finished script or even a completely developed idea.
Often our first job is helping you work out what the story actually is, who should be involved and the best way to tell it.
Yes.
We can create everything from short documentary-style films through to longer-form documentary productions.
The length should always be determined by the story, the audience and where the film will ultimately be seen.
Yes. In fact, that is a huge part of what we do.
Most of the people appearing in our documentaries are not professional presenters or actors.
We create a relaxed environment and conduct interviews as conversations, helping people forget about the cameras and speak naturally.
Yes.
Community and social impact storytelling is an important part of our work.
We understand that these stories can involve sensitive experiences and vulnerable people, and we approach every project with respect, care and empathy.
Yes.
Our team is based in NSW, and we travel throughout Australia for productions.
For larger projects we can also build the crew and production requirements around the location and scope of the film.
It might be a documentary.
It might be a community story.
It might be the beginning of an idea you haven’t quite figured out yet.
If there is a story you believe people need to see, we would love to hear about it.
