The actual filming takes about 2 hours total. 1 hour for the interview section and about 1 hour for the shots of you doing your favourite things. This then all gets weaved into a beautiful cinematic story. We do offer Hair & Makeup as part of our services so that usually takes 30 minutes per person. We recommend you block out about 3 hours of your day so you can just relax and focus on telling your story.

Great news! You get two videos! When you book a Your Life Story video, you will get the full 1 hour interview as well as a 5 to 10 minute highlights video that includes the best parts of the 1 hour interview accompanied by beautiful music and overlay shots of you doing your favourite things (reading, gardening, walks on the beach, spending time with your family). Our Storytellers find that the long version is great for keeping a record of your family history while the cinematic shorter version is great for sharing with extended family and friends as well as a beautiful video to be played at funerals.

Yes, we do. We can film up to two people at a time. Couples, friends, siblings. Anyone who would like to share their stories together. It's a great way to find out new things about each other and it strengthens your relationship.

Yes, we do! If you'd like to gift a Your Story video to your parents, your children, spouse or any family member or friend, that is absolutely possible. In fact, it's what most of our storytellers do.

Absolutely! You can make as many changes to the video as you like. We want you to be happy with your story and our services. After all, it is your story. That said, we have never had a storyteller request a change to a single one of our videos. They're that good.
